THURSDAY FAVORITE SHOPS AND PRODUCTS: MICHELLETAN DRESSES ON ETSY!

I often think it would be lovely to live in a different time.  A time when women were women.  I know, I know, I am probably setting Women's Lib back many years by just thinking that, but I really think women have let themselves go as a whole.  Women used to dress themselves nicely, even to run to the grocery store.  The fashions of the 40's and 50's were gorgeous, and even the housewives wore lovely dresses and did their hair!  As I write this I am wearing a slouchy T-Shirt and some yoga pants, I know of which I speak!  I discovered a shop on Etsy with absolutely stunning dresses that harken back to those times.  Read on to check out Michelle Tan's Handmade Retro Clothing and Vintage inspired dresses!

TUESDAY MAKE UP: CHRISTMAS THEMED NAILS AND REVIEW OF SALON EXPRESS NAIL STAMPING KIT

My dear Hubs got me some things for my nails for my birthday on the 18th.  I generally dislike getting older, but I am having such fun with my blog and crafts and such that this year it was no problem.  I just looked at it as celebrating the 20th anniversary of my 22nd birthday.  That makes me still 22, right?  At any rate Hubs presented me with a box of 12 nail polishes, and the Salon Express Nail Art Stamping Kit you may have seen touted on As Seen On TV.  The following is a review of the stamping kit, as well as my Christmas themed nails I did just for fun!  Read on to see if I liked it, loved it, or left it!

MAKE UP REVIEW: CRUSH COSMETICS

I placed an order from Crush Cosmetics and thought I would let you know how it turned out.  Crush is an Etsy shop, and you can find it here.  I ordered 2 full sized eye shadows, a lip tint, and 20 different eye shadow samples.  Read on to see if I liked them, loved them, or chose to leave them!

FAVORITE ETSY SHOPS: GLORY BE HERBALS

Not long ago I was struggling with my face.  Did I have problems with my skin? Yup! It was the dreaded combination skin, it can be dry as heck on my nose and cheeks, but oily on my chin and in the creases of my nose. I had a moderate amount of blackheads and some large pores that desperately needed to find another home.  If that wasn't bad enough I had adult onset acne!  I searched for some articles on facial care and ran into something called the OCM (Oil Cleansing Method).

I have a confession...I like to shop on Etsy....a lot!  I thought I would share some of my favorite Etsy shops with you, just in time for Christmas shopping!  On Etsy there are lots of great homemade items, and vintage things for sale.  It's fab.  Next confession?  I am addicted to mineral make-up, particularly the eye shadows.  And particularly the ones made by Bridget at Madison Street Beauty.
